I write to capture what moves — a path, a light, a conversation overheard in passing.
In October 2024, I walked the Camino de Santiago, alone, for two weeks. Heading West was born on those evenings when I wrote, or reworked what I’d already written — five passages that follow that journey, from the road itself to the obsidian shores of Northern California.
At the same time, over those same two years and across several cities, a second collection took shape without my looking for it: Bagages (“Luggage”). Notes taken while walking, while waiting, sometimes while forgetting — until a thread appeared. A book about what we leave behind, and what we carry with us.
Since then, I’ve been exploring other fragments: stolen conversations in cafés, the passing of time on the stones of old cities.
I live in San Francisco, where I write and take photographs.
